Glyphosate 41% SL is a non-selective, post-emergence systemic water-soluble liquid herbicide used to completely eradicate annual and perennial grasses, broadleaf weeds, and sedges from the root level
Description
- Type: Non-selective (kills all green vegetation it touches) and systemic (absorbed through foliage and moved internally).
- Formulation: Soluble Liquid (SL) containing 41% active ingredient (typically as isopropyl amine salt).
- Mode of Action: Blocks the EPSP synthase enzyme inside plants, stopping amino acid production, starving the plant, and killing roots and shoots completely within 7 to 21 days with no regrowth.
- Soil Behavior: Binds tightly to soil particles upon contact and breaks down naturally, leaving no harmful active soil residue for future crop seeds
Key Uses & Applications
- Non-Crop Management: Cleaning open fields, industrial sites, roadsides, and water channels.
- Farm Boundaries: Clearing stubborn weeds on paddy bunds and field borders.
- Plantations & Orchards: Directed weed control in tea, coffee, and fruit orchards.
- Pre-Sowing Preparation: Killing existing standing weeds 15 to 20 days prior to planting new crops like cotton, paddy, or sugarcane
